LWML REVEALS THE LOGO FOR THE 2013 LWML CONVENTION

The convention logo for the 35th Biennial Lutheran Women's Missionary League Convention (pictured above) was created by graphic designer Janet Hurta of McGregor, Texas. Click here for a description on the symbolic interpretation of the logo as it relates to the theme verse from John 4:14: [Jesus said:] "...but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." The convention will be held June 27-30, 2013 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Quenched by Christ's redeeming grace, attendees will be empowered by the Holy Spirit to be a wellspring of the Father's love who will glorify the Trinity, drink deeply from His Word, and share His overflowing love with others. LWML 2012 PRAYER SERVICE AVAILABLE FREE ONLINE

The LWML Prayer Service for 2012 is now available online at http://www.lwml.org/events/docs/2012_prayer-service.pdf Authored by Reverend Barrie E. Henke, the Prayer Service theme verse is: Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NIV). Its goal is that we be confident that God answers our prayers so that we entrust all of our concerns to Him and share the joy of a confident faith with those whose lives intersect ours. This Prayer Service is divided into six parts. It is imperative that all six parts are adequately covered in order to convey the full impact of prayer dynamics upon the participants. The parts of the service are: Praise God for His goodness and blessings. Remember that I am a sinner and that I have a Savior. Ask of any and all things that are on my mind. Yield these concerns to God’s wisdom and gracious working. Excitement is the result of surrendering concerns to God. Rejoicing is the expression of our trust that God is in control.
